Hello Miss Social Network!!! Thought I would give you all an update on all the exciting things that have come my way since I won Miss Social Network in June. To say the least, I have been VERY busy! A lot of the success I have attained has come directly from participating with Miss Social Network and the help I received from the community, the fans, and other models. Having the ability within my MSN gallery to promote all the other contests I have participated in, and the promotion and exposure to these contests I receive from the links that I post directly within my gallery here within the Miss Social Network Organization, it has helped me grow my career tremendously.
People don’t realize how awesome the powerful tools are that this site provides: I am able to list my facebook page, my contests, and blurbs about my goals, and how to vote within the multiple contests I’ve participated in, specifically with Playboy. In addition to these amazing features, I was able to direct industry professionals and fans to one simple place to see my whole portfolio in the making! Right here at Miss Social Network! And my success started right here!
After winning the title in June, I went on to be crowned Playboy's Miss Social in July and then went on to become Playboy's Cyber Girl of the week in October. I don't think I could have done it without the exposure I gained through Miss Social Network. There really is nowhere else quite like the setup us models are given with the MSN org site. Our gallery also shows the world where you've been in your career, and most importantly where you are going.
Of course with the great exposure and along with the good that comes from being at the top, you can also become the negative target of haters. There are people that are so jealous and spiteful of your success that they try and tear you down or sabotage you and your success. At one point this year in my modeling journey, I found this very hard to handle. I took it all very personal. Then one day I was looking at some mean comments and noticing statements and updates about some top models getting their pages disabled just like me. And that’s when I finally realized that IF YOU DON'T HAVE HATERS YOU HAVEN'T ARRIVED! Embrace it, love it. Show how successful you can be despite or in spite of them. Remember, there are always 100 people supporting you for every one against you! NEVER let them win. Brush it off and move on! I say now comfortably that I am over them tearing me down, I do not focus on the haters, and they have literally made me never want to give up on my dreams.
Most importantly, remember to have fun, UPDATE your ports often, do free TF shoots to keep things fresh and new. Apply for everything, Even if you are not going to win, or be hired, it's all about networking. Someone has to become a life-long fan from your efforts, someone has to notice you, someone has your contact info, and hopefully in the long run it turns in to more of a personal reward to you than a title. That's what is so great about the Miss Social Network competition.
It took me a few months to win. But My pages grew, people knew who I was because of this contest. I have friends on facebook that I talk to all the time that I meet through Miss Social Network simply suggesting my page to their fan base, or they saw a comment I posted and they decided to get to know me. NEVER GIVE UP, Sky's the limit! Good luck to all the girls the next few months!! Almost time for Miss Social Network of the Year!! See ya there!! xoxo ~BreMarie
